James G. Dempsey

James G. Dempsey is a Senior Managing Director and Wealth Manager at First Republic Investment Management. Mr. Dempsey joined First Republic in January of 2012. Prior to First Republic, Mr. Dempsey was a Managing Director at US Trust responsible for managing $1.2 billion in private client assets. Dempsey was a member of the Custom Equity Solutions Group, the team responsible for research and development of equity ideas used in portfolios throughout the firm. Prior to US Trust, Mr. Dempsey was a portfolio manager at JP Morgan where he managed $2 billion in client assets and served on the Value Equity and Asset Allocation Committees. Before JP Morgan, Mr. Dempsey was an Institutional Equity Portfolio Manager for the Large Cap Growth team at Alliance Capital.

Mr. Dempsey received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from State University of New York at Buffalo and earned a Master of Business Administration from the New York Institute of Technology. He is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.
