James Wilcox

James Wilcox is a Managing Director in the Investment Management Division of First Republic. Mr. Wilcox is a member of the First Republic Asset Allocation Committee and the First Republic Altair Investment Committee. Prior to joining First Republic, Mr. Wilcox worked for 18 years at Goldman Sachs and was a Vice President in the Investment Management Division. Mr. Wilcox focuses on wealth management for families and foundations. He began his career as Press Secretary to U.S. House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Bill Archer of Texas.

Mr. Wilcox currently serves as Chair of the Los Angeles Advisory Board for the Posse Foundation and on the Posse Foundation National Board. Mr. Wilcox also serves on the Board of Directors for the Coombs Foundation, which seeks to create a more integrated community in Jackson, Wyoming, via outdoor athletics. In addition to this, Mr. Wilcox serves as a volunteer fire fighter for the Jackson Hole Fire & EMS/ Teton County, Wyoming.

Mr. Wilcox earned his MBA from the Columbia Business School at Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College.
