Joel Grippando

Joel Grippando is a Managing Director and Currency Risk Advisor in the Foreign Exchange Division at First Republic Bank. Mr. Grippando is responsible for providing risk management solutions to First Republic clients with an emphasis on hedging solutions for corporate and private clients. Prior to joining First Republic in 2020, Mr. Grippando worked for 15 years on the Foreign Exchange desk for Wells Fargo. In this role, Mr. Grippando advised corporate clients in the Bay Area, helping them to identify, quantify and manage their short and long-term Foreign Exchange risk. Earlier in his career, Mr. Grippando worked for Bank of America in both an advisory and trading capacity.

Mr. Grippando earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Politics & Economics from Middlebury College and an MBA in Finance & International Business from the University of Chicago.
