John P. Muhlbauer

John Muhlbauer is a Managing Director and FX Specialist with First Republic Foreign Exchange. Mr. Muhlbauer joined First Republic in 2019. Prior to joining First Republic, he spent the last 15 years at Wells Fargo including more than 10 years in the FX department. Before moving to FX in 2008, he held financial advisor roles with Wells Fargo, WM Financial Services and Morgan Stanley.

Active in his local community, he currently serves on the board for YMCA Camp Jones Gulch, an outdoor education camp in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA)®.

Mr. Muhlbauer earned his B.A. and B.S. degrees in Business Administration and Spanish from Regis University in Denver, CO.
