Matthew P. MacMichael Sr.

Matthew P. MacMichael Sr. is a Managing Director and Wealth Manager with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.   Prior to joining First Republic in 2021, Mr. MacMichael was a Director and Market Executive at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. His responsibilities included overseeing the offices for Merrill within the Pacific Northwest region. He began his career in a family-owned investment advisory practice that he would later purchase and sell to a major Wall Street firm.   A veteran leader, Mr. MacMichael is responsible for the strategic direction of his team at First Republic, ensuring they deliver a high-caliber client experience. He offers an intuitive understanding of client priorities, helping the team foster a culture of engagement, responsiveness and customization.

Committed to the wider community, Mr. MacMichael is active in organizations that support the needs of women and children, as well as those dedicated to cancer research.

Mr. MacMichael earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he was a member of the Division 1 Men’s Soccer team and served as class president. In addition, he studied International Business at Oxford University in England.
