About Rick

Rick Gordon is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

Rick works closely with an accomplished clientele, helping them advance their ambitions through personalized advice and strategies that encompass their total financial life. He and his team look to provide clients with a precious resource—more time—so that clients can dedicate their attention to the people and priorities they value most.

With more than two decades of direct experience, Rick is comfortable guiding clients through meaningful events in their financial lives, connecting them to the resources they need to advance their goals, steadily and methodically. He helps clients discern the intersection of their motivations and aspirations, distilling those objectives so that clients can derive greater purpose and satisfaction from their wealth.

Clients look to Rick as someone who actively listens to them, helping them make informed decisions and sharing best practices from years of observation. Rick, in turn, looks to provide clients with advice that is most relevant to their situations. He integrates the strengths and talents of his team, providing clients with a thoughtful approach to the opportunities and challenges that substantial wealth can pose.

Prior to moving to J.P. Morgan Wealth Management in 2023 with his team, Rick spent more than eight years with First Republic Private Wealth Management, where he was a Senior Managing Director and Wealth Manager. Earlier in his career, Rick spent more than eight years with Barclay's Wealth Management Group in San Francisco. His experience also includes tenures with Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management and Bloomberg LP. He has worked in investing and wealth management since 2001.

Rick earned his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and his M.B.A. in Finance & Investment Strategy from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Active in giving back to the community, Rick served multiple terms on the Alumni Board of Governors for the Ross School of Business, where he was Chair of the Campaign Finance Committee. Rick was the founding board member and is the current committee chair for the JCC Maccabi Sports Camp, a JCC Palo Alto Jewish sports overnight camp based in Atherton, California. Rick also serves as a board volunteer for the Libitzky Family Foundation.

A proud Michigan alumnus, Rick enjoys following Wolverine football. He and his wife have two children.
