    Stuart Burden is a Managing Director and Family Engagement and Governance Consultant with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. Mr. Burden joined J.P. Morgan Wealth Management in 2023. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, Mr. Burden was a Managing Director and Family Engagement and Governance Consultant at First Republic. Mr. Burden joined First Republic in 2022. He has decades of experience as a grantmaker and philanthropic advisor. Mr. Burden has worked with private, corporate and community foundations. Prior to his current role, Mr. Burden worked at Silicon Valley Community Foundation where he served as Vice President of Corporate & Foundation Relations. Mr. Burden has also worked at Levi Strauss & Co./Levi Strauss Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, Ford Foundation and Monitor Institute (now “Monitor Deloitte”).

    Committed to public service, Mr. Burden has volunteered with several nonprofit, community organizations. Currently, he serves on the board of Grace Cathedral and co-leads Stanford’s Alumni in Public Service group.

    Mr. Burden earned his master’s degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University and his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University.
